Welcome to Small World Singers. Our "Kids Are Music!" show is our 1st season of performing in Davis County. We sing a variety of numbers including old-time favorites, familiar melodies, show tunes, and original songs during our 30 minute show presented at the end of the season.
Small World Singers was started in 1986 by Deborah Romney in San Diego. She began the group as a way to teach her 6 kids and other children in the community about music, stage presence, and performing. The happy memories of this little group inspired her daughter, Anne Steenblik, to resume the group in 2011 in San Diego where it ran for almost five years. It has been a treat to hear the songs Anne sang growing up being sung by her own children and the next generation of Small World Singers. After moving to Utah in 2015, Anne decided to start the group once again as a way to instill the same principles her mom did in the 80s to her kids -- basic vocal skills, stage presence, and the value of performing on a live stage.
